Governments, Corporations Recommend Apathy Towards Democracy

February 16, 2018

Washington, D.C. – World superpower leaders and corporate interests recommend keeping your head down and giving up on any democracy.  After Robert Mueller announced the indictment of 13 Russians charged with interfering in the 2016 elections many companies and world leaders suggest that there’s no use in caring about what goes on in any government, even local governments, as your votes don’t count for anything and everybody is guilty.

Brian Roberts, CEO of Comcast, commented after the indictments were published, “People really should stop worrying about how much money Comcast spends on lobbyists to influence their representatives in legislation.  Comcast’s plans of crappy customer service and getting away with accidentally charging thousands of our customers for services or products they never received are just too large for them to stop.”  Roberts went on to explain that corporations are people too with more value and are more important than flesh people.

Sarah Huckabee, the Trump administration’s press secretary pointed out at a press briefing,” The American public needs to understand governments all over the world meddle in international affairs.”  There’s no point in paying attention to who meddled in elections or what laws government officials break Huckabee explained.  “The United States influences governments such as Iran, China, and Russia all the time, so don’t worry your little heads about anything going on in government.  We know what’s best and there’s not much you can do anyway.”
