Parents are in an uproar as subtle messages appear to be coming from one of the most popular children’s shows around.
A Reddit user pointed these subliminal messages, and the post quickly went viral. We have a list of some of the most egregious messages here.
1. Episode 1: Muddy Puddles
In this episode, it talks about how Peppa’s favorite things to do is to jump in muddy puddles. The whole family enjoys it in fact. However, if you listen closely at 6:42 into the episode, you hear Daddy Pig talking about “hopping in your muddy puddle” when speaking to Mummy Pig. This is pretty self-explanatory, but take a listen for yourself and be the judge. Disgusting.
2. Season 2, Episode 1: Sleepover
In this episode, from the very beginning you can see what’s going on. When preparing for the sleepover, all of the friends drag their phalic shaped sleeping bags into the room to slumber. Why make them phalic shaped if not to stir some people up?
3. Season 2, Episode 7: Ice Skating
In the part where Peppa is ice skating, Daddy Pig encourages her to plow into a group of kids. She then proceeds to ram down about 8 kids, violently hurting them. Then everybody laughs. Nobody is hurt apparently, but in the background you can see a friend in the background holding her arm, apparently cut open by an ice skate.
4. Season 2, Episode 8: The Long Grass
Mummy Pig is rubbing all over Daddy Pig and suddenly he says “Maybe it is time to cut the grass.” This is in reference to his pubic hair. Mummy Pig then delivers a handy to Daddy Pig at 5:32 in the car if you look closely. You have to pause at just the right moment and you can see Daddy Pig spurting on the windshield. Horrible.
