Kim Jong-un Backs Down From Guam Threat After Getting Platform Shoes From Dennis Rodman

Pyongyang, North Korea – Notorious leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un has been in the spotlight quite a bit over the past few days, due to his vow to ignite an “enveloping fire”of test missiles near the American island of Guam. As of today, the plan that was announced by the North Korean leader five days ago has been called off, due largely in part to a pair of Gucci “Gold Peggy” platform shoes he received as a gift.

The gold-and-rainbow adorned Gucci’s (pictured above), were sent by Kim Jung Un’s close friend and former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman. The North Korean leader stands at roughly 5 feet 7 inches tall, but after slipping on the new footwear his height increased to just under 6 feet. “I love them. I feel like I’m a monster now,” he stated when asked about the new shoes. When asked if his newly attained height increase was partially responsible for today’s decision to stand down, he responded “Absolutely not.”

Rodman first visited the country in 2013.  Since then he has visited the North Korean leader on multiple occasions, and was even asked to train the North Korean Olympic Basketball team.
