In a commendable act of bravery, and another success in the gay community, an active Phoenix Fire Department truck has come out as gay. For years the fire truck has been an ally of the gay community in Phoenix by attending the yearly gay pride parade. Fire Chief Kera Kalkbrenner of the Phoenix Fire Department has been a staunch supporter of the gay community saying, “We welcome diversity in all our fire stations and fire truck #625 has shown dedication to provide emergency assistance and hot firemen to all of the citizens of Phoenix.” Flashing sassy lights and adorned in a pride flag the firetruck proudly rolled through downtown Phoenix finally comfortable to be itself with multiple burly men inside of it.
