After much demand, General Motors is reintroducing the creepy Astro cargo van from your childhood nightmares. The Chevy Astro, perhaps best known for driving slowly and suspiciously around neighborhood parks, is making a comeback and with a few strange new options available.
General Motors asked fans of the previous Astro vans what upgrades they would like to see with the new generation. The responses they got were bit strange, but GM listened. Aside from the standard V6 engine, power windows and locks, tilt steering and front bucket seats, buyers will also have new factory upgrades available to them such as sound proofing, blackout windows, and multiple restraint points placed throughout the cabin. It can also be equipped with a retractable cage that separates the cargo area from the drivers cabin, similar to what is found in law enforcement vehicles.
